Singapore’s maritime gateway is getting a major upgrade this summer. The Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) will relocate all ferry and cruise operations to a brand-new, purpose-built terminal at HarbourFront, moving in two distinct phases throughout July. The new facility sits just 70 metres from the current site, so travellers need not worry about a lengthy detour.
The transition kicks off on July 7, when Batam Fast Ferry becomes the first operator to dock at the new terminal. Then, on July 15, the remaining ferry services—including Horizon Fast Ferry, Majestic Fast Ferry, Sindo Ferry, and Indo Falcon Shipping & Travel—along with all cruise operations, will complete the move. Despite the shift, the SCC assures passengers that the operational backbone remains unchanged: routes, destinations, published schedules, and berth locations will all stay the same.
The new terminal occupies a striking, terracotta-toned structure that is tucked behind HarbourFront Tower 2 and faces the sea. It sits directly opposite The Reef at King’s Dock condominium, making it easy to spot amid familiar HarbourFront landmarks. Inside, the facility features a completely revamped passenger space with upgraded infrastructure and technology-enabled services designed to streamline the pre-boarding process. Travelers can also look forward to food and beverage outlets, convenience retail, and money changers, though the full tenant mix and additional amenities will be announced closer to the terminal’s official opening, slated for later in 2026.
Getting there is straightforward via public transport. Passengers should alight at HarbourFront MRT Station and use Exit B, where sheltered walkways connect the station, VivoCity, and the surrounding area all the way to the new terminal. The SCC strongly encourages using public transport because parking capacity at the new site is very limited. The terminal’s official address is 5 HarbourFront Avenue, Singapore 099549.
This relocation marks a significant investment in Singapore’s maritime infrastructure, aimed at improving passenger experience and operational efficiency. For regular ferry commuters to Indonesia or cruise passengers, the change promises a smoother journey with minimal disruption. As the terminal’s full suite of services rolls out over the next few years, HarbourFront is poised to become an even more integrated transport and lifestyle hub. For now, travellers can mark their calendars and plan accordingly, knowing that the same trusted connections remain just a short walk away.
