Blue Bottle Coffee has partnered with Singaporean bakery Chu & Co. to introduce an extensive new lineup of artisanal pastries across its city-state cafés, marking the brand’s most significant seasonal menu refresh to date. The collaboration debuts alongside a new Kyoto-style cold-extracted espresso and a limited-edition cheesecake from local specialist Queic by Olivia, offering customers a range of fresh flavors at the Raffles City and Paragon outlets now.
A Fresh Take on Viennoiserie and Savory Bites
The partnership with Chu & Co.—a homegrown bakery founded in 2020—brings nearly a dozen handcrafted items to Blue Bottle’s counters. The selection marries classic French pastry techniques with Asian-inspired flavors, a signature approach that has earned Chu & Co. a devoted following for its small-batch creations.
Patrons can now find buttery sea salt croissants, turkey ham and cheese danishes, mushroom and sesame buns, jalapeño and cheese buns, triple pistachio escargots, banana bread, and lemon berry cake. Each item is made in small batches, reflecting the bakery’s commitment to quality over mass production.
“Chu & Co. has built a loyal following for its bakes that blend traditional viennoiserie with local tastes,” said a Blue Bottle representative. The bakery’s reputation for inventive seasonal specials made it a natural fit for the café chain’s biggest menu update to date.
Cold Brew Innovation and Return of a Fan Favorite
On the beverage front, Blue Bottle is rolling out a new Kyoto-style cold-extracted espresso across all iced espresso drinks in Singapore. The method produces a cleaner, sweeter concentrate that maintains balance even as ice melts, ensuring a consistent sip from first to last.
Two seasonal drinks showcase the new extraction: the espresso tonic ($10) blends the Kyoto-style espresso with crisp tonic water, while the vanilla bean shakerato ($9.50) uses real vanilla bean shaken with freshly brewed espresso. Both are currently available at the Raffles City and Paragon locations.
The menu refresh also sees the return of a previous collaboration with Queic by Olivia, a local cheesecake specialist. Following earlier sell-out creations, the pair has unveiled a limited-edition lemon cream cheesecake. However, this item is only available until August 8, adding urgency for pastry enthusiasts.
Where to Find the New Offerings
The new pastries and coffee drinks are available now at Blue Bottle Coffee’s two Singapore outlets: Raffles City and Paragon. The Chu & Co. items and seasonal drinks are ongoing, while the Queic by Olivia cheesecake has a limited run.
For those eager to explore more of Singapore’s café scene, recent openings include a Japanese tea stand hidden inside In Good Company’s new Joo Chiat store, and a tiny tea bar set within a stunning Teochew mansion near Dhoby Ghaut MRT. The Another Coffee Festival, featuring 34 specialty roasters in a booth-hopping format, also returns this year.
Blue Bottle’s collaboration with local artisans underscores a growing trend among international coffee chains to embed themselves in Singapore’s vibrant food culture. By partnering with homegrown talent like Chu & Co. and Queic by Olivia, the brand offers customers a taste of both global quality and local creativity. As the seasonal menu evolves, patrons can expect more limited-time offerings that celebrate the island’s rich culinary landscape.
