Manila-based DJ Siangyoo, frontman of Grayscale Social Club, makes his third Singapore appearance on Thursday, October 8, taking over Zouk on the final night of the TOKEN2049 conference and just ahead of Formula One weekend. After two previous sell-out shows, this edition marks the launch of Impact Rave — a new nightlife-meets-charity format that channels a fixed percentage of every ticket toward a social cause.
A Signature Sound on a Bigger Stage
Siangyoo’s sets are built on what he calls “wordplay” — chopping vocal snippets, lyrics, and sound bites from disparate tracks and weaving them into playful, unexpected transitions. Rooted in hip-hop and R&B, his turntablist style has been drawing packed crowds across Southeast Asia, and this Zouk appearance represents his largest Singapore venue yet.
Presented by 528 Collective and Grayscale Social Club, the event introduces Impact Rave, an initiative by the Beamco Foundation. Its core idea: nightlife and social impact don’t have to be separate worlds. Every ticket sold directly supports relief efforts, without diluting the music or the party experience.
Nightlife With a Conscience
For its inaugural edition, 10 percent of every ticket will go toward flash-flood relief in Nepal. The funds will aid Wateroam, a Singapore-born social enterprise behind the “Safe Water, Save Lives” mission. Wateroam develops portable water-filtration systems — called Roamfilter — that are currently deployed in Nepal, where torrential floods have left tens of thousands without reliable access to safe drinking water.
The partnership is designed to be transparent: ticket buyers know exactly where their money goes, and the charitable component is built into the event’s DNA, not an afterthought.
