When Manila-based turntablist and Grayscale Social Club frontman Siangyoo steps onto the decks at Zouk Singapore on Thursday, October 8, it will be his third consecutive sell-out show in the city-state. But this time, the party comes with a mission: launching a new nightlife format that turns every ticket sold into tangible relief for disaster-affected communities.
The event, presented by 528 Collective and Grayscale Social Club, marks the debut of Impact Rave, a concept developed by the Beamco Foundation that dedicates a fixed percentage of every ticket sale to a social cause. For the inaugural edition, 10 percent of proceeds will go directly toward flash flood relief in Nepal, supporting Wateroam, a Singapore-based social enterprise that delivers portable water filtration systems to communities in crisis.
What to Expect from Siangyoo’s Set
Siangyoo has built a reputation for what he calls “wordplay” sets—a high-energy blend of hip-hop and R&B where vocal snippets, lyrics and sound bites from different tracks are chopped, matched and mashed together into playful, unexpected transitions. His previous two Singapore shows sold out, and this performance at Zouk marks a significant leap to a far larger room.
The timing is strategic: the gig falls on the final night of TOKEN2049, Asia’s premier crypto conference, and lands just before the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix weekend kicks off. It’s a window when the city’s nightlife scene is already buzzing with international visitors, but Siangyoo’s return offers a distinctly Filipino flavour to the lineup.
Nightlife That Gives Back
Impact Rave is built on a simple premise: that clubbing and social impact don’t have to be mutually exclusive. The organisers wanted to turn a night out into something that generates tangible support for people who need it—without compromising the music, the party, or the experience.
For this first edition, the beneficiary is Wateroam, whose mission is “Safe Water, Save Lives.” The organisation develops compact, portable Roamfilter systems that can be deployed quickly in disaster zones. In Nepal, where catastrophic flash floods have recently left tens of thousands without reliable access to safe drinking water, these filters are currently being distributed to affected communities. The 10 percent contribution from each ticket sold will directly fund those efforts.
“We believe that nightlife can be a force for good,” the Beamco Foundation said in a statement shared with organisers. “Impact Rave is about making every ticket count for something beyond the dance floor.”
