Iconic Blue Box Café Brings Breakfast at Tiffany’s to Singapore’s Orchard Road

Singapore’s ION Orchard now houses the first Southeast Asian outpost of Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Box Café, a nearly decade-long journey from its New York debut in 2017. Located on the third floor of the luxury jeweller’s flagship store, the café opens Wednesday through Sunday, serving an all-day menu developed with three-Michelin-starred chef Julien Royer. Diners can choose from a lavish breakfast spread, afternoon tea, or a curated lunch and dinner selection—all set against the brand’s signature Tiffany blue interiors.

A Decade in the Making

The café’s arrival in Singapore follows openings in Tokyo and Hong Kong, marking a global expansion of the concept that first wowed visitors at Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship. The Singapore space is drenched in the maison’s iconic robin’s-egg blue, from upholstery to art-lined walls. Mirrored ceilings create the illusion of endless Tiffany boxes, while polished surfaces cast a soft, luminous glow. Every corner is designed for the camera—and the food, Royer notes, is meant to feel like part of the set design.

The Menu: French Technique Meets Asian Accents

Royer, chef-owner of Singapore’s three-star Odette, anchors the menu in French cuisine with American and Asian influences. The headline offering is Breakfast at Tiffany’s ($78 per person, served 10–11:30 a.m.), a two-tiered silver stand laden with Maison Beillevaire butter, smoked trout with crème fraîche, soft-boiled Oita eggs topped with Oscietra caviar, and an array of delicate viennoiserie.

For a lighter option, Holly’s Favourites ($38 per person)—named after Audrey Hepburn’s character in the 1961 film—includes pastries, baguette with butter, a choice of beverage, and fresh juice. (Pearls and black dress sold separately.)

The Tea at Tiffany’s afternoon set ($98 per person) features a three-tiered stand of tea sandwiches, patisseries, and gateaux. The café’s signature Blue Box Café Original Blend tea ($12 per pot) is unique to each location; Singapore’s version is a fragrant black tea infused with rose lavender and vanilla.

Lunch and Dinner: Hits and Misses

The all-day menu is compact but deliberate. Heirloom beetroots ($28) layers salt-roasted beets with crunchy almond crumbs, goat’s cheese, and arugula oil. Confit yellow chicken ($48) reimagines Hainanese chicken rice, pairing the poultry with crispy Niigata rice mixed with chicken skin. The Tiffany Burger ($34)—a nod to the brand’s Manhattan roots—arrives on a soft potato brioche bun with a medium-rare Black Angus patty, house-made sauce, and melted cheddar. While the sauce and cheese carry much of the flavour, the patty could use more seasoning; the fries, however, are perfectly crisp.

Desserts lean decadent: SniX ($22) blends Snickers and Twix into a peanut-butter creation with salted caramel, and Tiffany Island ($22) puts a modern spin on Île Flottante, with meringue and vanilla cream over orange blossom water.

The Verdict: Paying for the Experience

Time Out’s rating: 4/5. The setting, service, and sheer novelty of dining inside an iconic jewellery brand are undeniable draws. First-time visitors should prioritise the signature experiences—Breakfast at Tiffany’s or the afternoon tea—where the presentation and atmosphere shine. Main dishes like the confit chicken and burger, while polished, don’t fully justify the price on flavour alone.

Bottom line: You’re not coming here for the best chicken rice or burger on the island. You’re coming to live out a cinematic fantasy. And for that, Blue Box Café delivers.

Blue Box Café Singapore is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at 2 Orchard Turn, ION Orchard, #03-11/12.
