Singapore’s bar scene just got another shot of acclaim. Offtrack, a North Canal Road venue founded by the team behind local music collectives Darker Than Wax and Ice Cream Sundays, has landed at No. 89 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2026 extended ranking (the 51–100 list). The announcement comes just months after the bar earned the No. 23 spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, marking its first-ever appearance on a global stage.
The recognition places Offtrack among 16 Asian bars on this year’s extended list and makes it the only Singapore venue included in that cohort. For a city that already claims the world’s best bar—Fura, according to the Spirited Awards—this latest nod underscores the depth of the local cocktail and hospitality scene.
A concept built around sound
Offtrack opened in 2022 at 34 North Canal Road, and from day one, music has been the anchor. The space features an acoustically treated interior centered on a carefully curated sound system. Local and regional DJs and record collectors rotate behind the decks, spinning sets that span jazz, soul, funk, and Asian cuts. Vinyl displays and rotating art installations round out the sensory experience.
The bar’s identity was shaped by its founders’ roots in Singapore’s independent music community, and that ethos is evident in every corner of the 34-seat venue.
What’s on the menu
The kitchen leans into Asian-inspired flavors with dishes like housemade sourdough roti served with kombu butter and chives, spice-rubbed Iberico pork collar drenched in fennel gravy, and a garlicky la mian that has become a crowd favorite.
On the cocktail side, the lineup includes a chilli-spiked Paloma and the punchy King Cole, a blend of bourbon, Fernet Branca, and Demerara rum. The drinks are designed to complement the music-driven atmosphere rather than compete with it.
How the ranking works
The World’s 50 Best Bars list, first published in 2009, is compiled annually by an Academy of more than 800 drinks experts from across the globe. Regional editions, including Asia’s 50 Best Bars, have been published since 2016. The extended 51–100 ranking serves as a preview before the top 50 is unveiled.
This year’s countdown will be broadcast live from Milan on October 7 at 8 p.m. SGT, streamed globally on The 50’s YouTube channel.
