A brand-new inline skating rink has glided into Bukit Panjang, marking the first neighbourhood facility of its kind in Singapore. The Senja Inline Skating Rink officially opened on August 23, 2026, offering residents a completely free, walk-in skating experience without the need for advance bookings.
Built under Sport Singapore’s Sport-in-Precinct initiative, the rink occupies the former hard court outside the Zhenghua-Senja Square Residents’ Network. The project aims to bring recreational sports closer to where people live, reducing the need for travel to centralised facilities.
What to Know Before You Go
Skate enthusiasts should note that the rink operates on a bring-your-own-gear basis. There are no equipment rental services or on-site facilities available yet, so visitors must come prepared with their own skates, knee pads, elbow pads, and cones for practice. Beginners may soon have an option to learn properly: the residents’ network is planning inline skating classes, with four sessions expected to cost $100. More Than Just Skating
The new rink is part of a larger active lifestyle hub in the area. Adjacent facilities include the Senja Warrior Course, which features a two-lane, 400-metre running track, outdoor GymGuru fitness machines, and an obstacle course complete with stumps, a rope bridge, and suspended logs.
For younger visitors, the Senja Go Trail offers ground-level trampolines, rubber mounds, climbing structures, and a Ninja Warrior-inspired obstacle course. The course challenges children to crawl through netted structures, hop between ramps, and finish on monkey bars, providing a full-body workout disguised as play.

The skating rink is conveniently located just a three-minute walk from Jelapang LRT station. The Senja Go Trail and Senja Warrior Course are about five minutes away on foot. Travellers coming from Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange can take bus 922 to Block 617 in four stops, followed by a three-minute walk.
