With the highly anticipated Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 ceremony set for July 28 in Macau, the event’s organizers have released the extended list of bars ranked 51 through 100 — and Singapore has secured seven spots, including two newcomers that are already generating buzz.
Leading the charge is BOP, which debuts at No. 52. That placement isn’t just an impressive first outing; it’s the highest new entry across the entire 51-100 rankings. Opened by the Jigger & Pony Group, BOP is Singapore’s first Korean cocktail dining bar. The venue quickly gained attention for drinks that lean into traditional Korean flavors — think soju bombs and dalgona-infused cocktails — all served in a sleek, approachable setting. The bar’s rapid ascent reflects a growing appetite for hyper-local, culturally specific cocktail programs.
The other fresh face is Bar Bon Funk, landing at No. 90. Tucked inside the New Bahru neighborhood, this intimate spot has cultivated a loyal following thanks to its playful cocktail list and effortlessly good vibes. It’s the kind of place that feels like a well-kept secret — but the judges have taken notice.
Returning bars on the list include Side Door at No. 57, which continues to shake things up with its inventive approach; The Elephant Room at No. 58, a welcome return for the Little India-inspired cocktail bar that showcases Indian spirits and flavors; Native at No. 80, a long-standing champion of regional ingredients and zero-waste practices; Cat Bite Club at No. 86, known for its playful, feline-themed aesthetic; and Stay Gold Flamingo at No. 97, a retro-style cocktail bar that has recaptured the judges’ attention.
Beyond Singapore, this year’s extended list reveals a broader shift across Asia’s cocktail landscape. The rankings feature 11 newcomers from 25 cities, with emerging destinations steadily stealing the spotlight from the traditional Tokyo-Hong Kong-Bangkok axis.
Vietnam’s The Enigma Mansion recorded the biggest glow-up of the year, vaulting 38 places to No. 55. Kuala Lumpur continues its upward trajectory with four bars making the cut, including debutant Cabinet 8 at No. 65. Tokyo and Seoul each claim four entries, while Hangzhou, Beijing, Galle (Sri Lanka), and Makati (Philippines) all make their first appearances on the extended rankings.
These developments signal a maturing cocktail culture across the region, where local ingredients, cultural narratives, and independent venues are gaining global recognition.
The full Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 top 50 will be revealed at a live ceremony in Macau on July 28, 2026. Until then, the extended list offers a compelling preview — and plenty of reason to plan your next bar crawl.
