The blind box giant that already has a knack for emptying wallets is now coming for your lunch money. Pop Bakery, the brand’s debut dessert café concept in Southeast Asia, officially opened Tuesday at Resorts World Sentosa’s Weave mall, taking over the entire upper floor of a standalone two-storey villa.
Downstairs remains a haven for collectors: the ground-level Pop Mart flagship store stocks the usual blind boxes and character-themed merchandise, including Singapore-exclusive items such as the Pop Bean Twinkle Twinkle Journey in Singapore Set and a pendant and bag from the newly launched Go Around with Pop Mart series.
Upstairs, the bakery offers a photogenic, character-inspired food menu co-developed with Resorts World Sentosa’s culinary team. While certain dishes are Pop Mart signatures, several Singapore exclusives are worth noting.
What’s on the Menu
The café’s star attraction is the Pucky Xiao Long Bao (S$18, dine-in only), a whimsical soy milk panna cotta and ice cream creation styled to resemble dim sum, served with biscuit-stick “chopsticks” and chocolate dipping sauce. The Twinkle Twinkle Coconut Mousses (S$18) arrive in chocolate coconut shells, layered with either pineapple-passionfruit boba or red bean.
For those seeking a gift, the Labubu Butter Cookies (S$32) are the obvious choice. These honeycomb-textured cookies come in butter, chocolate, and a Singapore-special coconut flavour, all packed in a collectible tin designed to be kept rather than tossed.
To beat the tropical heat, the Go Around with Twinkle Twinkle popsicles (S$15) come in sea salt and coconut flavours. Other Pop Mart signature items include the Twinkle Twinkle – Dreamy Banana Pastry (S$16) and Twinkle Twinkle Mango Sago (S$12).
Meet the Characters
If the menu didn’t already make it clear, Twinkle Twinkle—the brand’s star character—is the main draw. Guests can attend meet-and-greet sessions with the adorable character from Thursday to Monday at 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm, with a minimum spend of S$40 per person.
Artist fansign sessions are also scheduled: Agree and Yep (creators of HACIPUPU) will appear on July 30 from 3pm to 4pm, and Hanna Li (creator of CHAKA) will be there on July 31 from 3pm to 4pm.
Practical Details
Pop Bakery is open Monday to Thursday from 11am to 9:30pm, and Friday to Sunday (including public holidays) from 10am to 9:30pm. Dine-in is available by reservation only; bookings can be made through the Resorts World Sentosa website.
The Bigger Picture
This café launch marks a significant expansion for Pop Mart, which has already built a fervent following worldwide through its mystery-box collectibles. By venturing into experiential dining, the brand is banking on the same “unboxing” thrill—now applied to dessert. For Singaporeans and tourists alike, Pop Bakery offers a rare opportunity to eat their favourite characters, not just collect them.
As the line between retail and entertainment continues to blur, Pop Mart’s latest move suggests that the next frontier for lifestyle brands might just be your lunch break.
