The team behind Singapore’s celebrated Australian barbecue restaurant Burnt Ends has opened a sprawling 10,000-square-foot brewery and dining destination at Resorts World Sentosa. People People Brewing Co., which launched in April, combines a working industrial brewery, a family-friendly restaurant, and a social space under one roof at the Weave complex. With room for 180 guests, a wood-fired kitchen, and a weekly roster of events ranging from trivia nights to brewery tours, the venue aims to give visitors a compelling reason to cross the bridge into Sentosa.
The space: A laid-back playground for beer lovers and families alike
High ceilings, an open floor plan, and large communal tables set a relaxed tone from the moment you walk in. Five towering 1,500-litre tanks dominate one side of the room, feeding fresh beer directly to custom taps. Toward the back, a gift shop sells bottled beers and merchandise, while a soundproof private dining room accommodates up to 12 guests for a chef-curated tasting menu—complete with self-pour beer taps—at a minimum spend of $100 per person.
The open kitchen anchors the main hall, equipped with a wood-fired oven and a central rotisserie turning out pizzas and whole chickens. A stage hosts live music, a projector screens sports, and a small game room—including a boxing arcade machine—keeps kids and adults entertained.
The brews: Award-winning head brewer leads the program
Nick Calder-Scholes, named Australian Brewer of the Year in 2024, oversees the beer lineup. With more than a decade of experience across the UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, he brings a mix of approachable staples and boundary-pushing experiments.
House lager ($13) offers a crisp entry point, while the passionfruit and yuzu sour ($14) and tropical XPA ($13) lean fruit-forward. The Poolside Pils ($12) finishes with a hint of lime, and the California IPA ($14) clocks in at a bold 6.2 percent ABV. For stout fans, the Oatmeal Stout ($13) delivers a smooth, velvety profile.
Thirsty Thursdays feature evening “Meet the Maker” sessions where Calder-Scholes leads behind-the-scenes brewery tours followed by guided tastings in the private dining room. Non-beer drinkers can choose from a small wine list (from $16), classic cocktails like Negronis and Old Fashioneds ($20), or custom martinis ($20)—bone-dry, dirty, or Vesper-style.
The food: Wood-fired pizzas and rotisserie chicken steal the show
The 12-inch sourdough pizzas emerge from a Classico wood-fired oven with a crispy crust and chewy base. The Pulled Pork Sanger ($30) piles on pulled pork, chipotle, jalapeños, and crunchy red cabbage for acidity. A straightforward margherita ($24) also impresses.
The signature rotisserie chicken ($16 quarter, $30 half, $58 whole) comes with fries and a choice of lemon thyme, peri peri, jerk, or soya sauce—the meat stays succulent down to the bone. Shareable sides include salt and pepper squid ($16) and grilled parmesan broccolini ($10). For serious appetites, the Blackmores’ Giant Burger ($58) stacks a wagyu patty, onion ring, cheddar, and a whole bone-in short rib between potato buns.
Weekly programming: Something new every day
People People Brewing Co. rotates its offerings across the week:
- Monday: Trivia night with prizes like dining vouchers, beers, and merch
- Wednesday: Wood Fired Wednesdays with 50 percent off second pizzas
- Thursday: Brewery tours with the head brewer
- Friday: Interactive live music performances
- Saturday: Weekend brunch with two hours of free-flow alcohol
- Sunday: People People Family Day—a play zone, coloring menu, and sports screenings
The verdict
Beers are solid, but the food punches above its weight, elevating the experience beyond typical pub grub. This won’t replace your neighborhood watering hole—it’s a destination venue designed for a full afternoon or evening out. To avoid the $6 Sentosa entry fee, book a private-hire ride to the brewery’s dedicated drop-off point.
