Moutai House Singapore Brings China’s Iconic Spirit to the Fullerton Waterboat House This October

Singapore’s newest lifestyle destination dedicated to Kweichow Moutai opens late October with a fine dining restaurant, rooftop bar, and an experiential centre featuring a $1 million vintage collection.

Come late October, baijiu enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike will have a new reason to explore Singapore’s waterfront. Moutai House Singapore—billed as Southeast Asia’s first lifestyle destination dedicated to Kweichow Moutai—is taking over the historic Fullerton Waterboat House, a landmark that has previously housed Starbucks, Italian restaurant Matera, Basque Kitchen by Aitor, and most recently, European spot Picotin.

The three-storey venue promises a full immersion into China’s famed “national liquor,” a spirit as revered as it is polarising. At its core sits the Moutai Experiential Centre, a multisensory crash course tracing the drink’s storied history and intricate production process. Visitors can expect interactive displays and guided storytelling that demystify the complex fermentation and distillation methods behind every bottle.

The centrepiece, however, is the collection itself. Over 300 labels will be displayed, ranging from everyday, approachable pours to rare collectibles with price tags that could reach a staggering $1 million. Among the highlights is Southeast Asia’s first birth-year Moutai collection, featuring a 1965 vintage that nods to Singapore’s own independence year. Also on show is the Kweichow Moutai Discovery Collection, which includes a bottle designed in tribute to the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower.

For those looking to turn education into a meal, the second floor houses Imperial Treasure Moutai House—a collaboration between local dining group Imperial Treasure and Moutai. The Chinese fine dining restaurant specialises in Huaiyang and Guizhou cuisine, with, of course, Moutai pairings available throughout the meal.

The experience reaches its peak on the third floor with Sohaus, a rooftop bar conceptualised by Nutmeg & Clove, the award-winning cocktail outfit that ranked No. 12 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026. The venue pairs skyline and waterfront views with eight signature cocktails infused with Moutai, plus eight classic drinks reimagined with a baijiu twist.

The Moutai House Singapore will open to the public in late October at The Fullerton Waterboat House, with the experiential centre operating daily from 10am to 10pm. Interested visitors can stay updated via the official website or Instagram page.

As Singapore continues to cement its status as a regional hub for food and beverage innovation, Moutai House marks a significant step in introducing one of China’s most distinctive cultural exports to a global audience—one sip, and one story, at a time.

For those planning a visit, consider pairing the experience with a stroll along the Singapore River or stopping by nearby attractions like the Asian Civilisations Museum. The rooftop bar is expected to be a prime spot for sunset views, so reservations may be worth securing once bookings open.
