The iconic corner of the Singapore Botanic Gardens once home to The Halia has blossomed into something entirely new. Little Farms, a brand celebrated for its premium supermarkets, has unveiled its most ambitious project to date: The Bloomhouse by Little Farms, an all-day dining destination that expands far beyond grocery aisles. The nearly 500-square-metre venue, which opened this month, marks the brand’s 10th anniversary and introduces a restaurant, a grab-and-go picnic kiosk, and a dedicated events space to the UNESCO World Heritage site.
A Fresh Concept for Park-Goers
The Bloomhouse seats 112 guests across two distinct zones. Inside, the air-conditioned Palm Alcove offers respite from Singapore’s tropical heat, while the pet-friendly Ginger Terrace lets diners soak in the gardens’ lush surroundings. The design reflects a deliberate shift from Little Farms’ retail roots: this is not a supermarket with a café, but a full-fledged dining experience.
According to the brand, the menu was crafted with active park visitors in mind—light, produce-forward dishes that won’t weigh you down after a stroll. Standouts include an avocado, quinoa and feta bowl, Turkish eggs with lamb merguez sausage, a soufflé omelette, French poulet glazed with sambal soy, and whole seabream finished with coriander marinade and mango pico de gallo.
Picnic, Simplified
For those who prefer dining on the grass, The Bloomhouse eliminates the need to pack a basket. A standalone kiosk called Picnic Basket by Little Farms supplies wicker baskets and picnic rugs on-site. The grab-and-go menu features charcuterie, cheeses, salads, pastries, ice cream, and canned cocktails. Two pre-assembled picnic hampers, stocked with Little Farms favourites, let visitors skip decision-making and focus on finding the perfect shady spot.
More Than Brunch
The venue also houses Orchid Solhouse, an event space designed for intimate weddings, solemnisation ceremonies, birthday celebrations, and corporate gatherings. The addition transforms The Bloomhouse into a versatile community hub—one that accommodates everything from casual picnics to formal occasions.
Broader Impact and Next Steps
The opening signals a strategic evolution for Little Farms, which has built a loyal following for its curated groceries and sustainable sourcing. By expanding into hospitality and events, the brand is betting that consumers want more than just products—they want experiences rooted in nature and convenience. For park visitors, The Bloomhouse offers a seamless blend of dining and leisure. For the brand, it represents a milestone in a decade-long journey.
